Baseball Recap: Cosby Comes Up Short

After flying high against Austin-East on Monday, Cosby came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 15-9 to the Hancock County Indians on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Cayden Byrd made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Gage McCarty was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Cosby's loss dropped their record down to 3-18-1. As for Hancock County, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-18.

As of now, neither Cosby nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
