            Baseball Recap: Escambia Gators vs. Clay Blue Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Escambia couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took  a  6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clay Blue Devils on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  2-1  on Monday.
 Escambia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jackson Camargo, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles. Another  was  Tucker Nix, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
This is the second loss in a row for Escambia and  nudges their season record down to 23-7. As for Clay, the  victory was  the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-9.
 Escambia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clay, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Arnold  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Blue Devils 3.1, the Marlins 2.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
