Soccer Game Preview: Armijo vs. Valley

Armijo has won three straight games at home, while Valley has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Armijo Royals will host the Valley Vikings at 6:30 p.m.

Things were looking good for Armijo after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Johnson by a score of 3-2.

Luis Garcia Carreon and Artemio Perez Valadez scored both of Armijo's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Valley kept a clean sheet against Fairfield on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 7-0 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by three goals or more this season.

Valley is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-1-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those eight contests. As for Armijo, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-2.
