After losing to Cookeville the last time they met, Oakland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Patriots walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cavaliers on Saturday.

Oakland found their leader in sophomore Ellie Knox, who had 27 assists and three digs.

Oakland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Cookeville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-9 record this season.

Oakland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Friendship Christian on the 20th. As for Cookeville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Franklin Christian Academy on the 20th.
