Soccer Recap: Middleton Comes Up Short

If Middleton was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Columbia last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the Vallivue Falcons on Monday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Middleton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho soccer rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Vallivue are ranked fourth).

Middleton's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Vallivue, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Middleton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Nampa on the 24th. As for Vallivue, they have also already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Columbia on the 24th.
