Softball Recap: Hempstead Takes a Loss

Hempstead came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Van Vleck Leopards, falling 20-0. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Leopards recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Hempstead's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Van Vleck, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-2 record this season.

Hempstead will host East Bernard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Brahmas will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Van Vleck, they will venture away from home to take on Hitchcock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
