Softball Recap: Jefferson Davis Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Andrew Jackson Academy last Monday, Jefferson Davis Academy came back down to earth. The Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders lost 14-3 to the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 last Thursday.

Kinlee Ray was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Jefferson Davis Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Calhoun Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Jefferson Davis Academy will square off against Williston-Elko at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Calhoun Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Colleton Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
