Volleyball Recap: Clark Fork Wampus Cats vs. Wallace Miners

Clark Fork lost against Wallace on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wampus Cats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miners. The Wampus Cats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Wallace got the win, Clark Fork sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 26-24, 22-25, 26-24, 25-16.

Nora-Jean Hoy paced Clark Fork's offense, picking up 14 kills. Hoy got some help from Kiylah Anderson and her 32 assists. Piper Scarlett controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Among those leading the charge was Olivia Berry, who had 16 digs and one assist. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high.

Clark Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Wallace, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Clark Fork will square off against Coeur du Christ Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wallace, they will venture away from home to take on Kellogg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
