Volleyball Recap: Terry Sanford Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Terry Sanford was the 3-0 winner over Western Harnett when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Eagles on Wednesday.

While Terry Sanford had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 25-19.

Avery Morris paced Terry Sanford's offense, picking up ten kills. Morris got some help from Abigayle Hodges and her 23 assists. Finally, Natalia Marcelin kept Terry Sanford's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Terry Sanford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Western Harnett, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terry Sanford will head out to challenge South View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Western Harnett, they will face off against Harnett Central at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
