Baseball Recap: Waccamaw Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dillon last Friday, Waccamaw came back down to earth. The Warriors came up short against the Aynor Blue Jackets on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this game were averaging 3.86 runs allowed.

Waccamaw saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Kerns, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

The defeat snapped Waccamaw's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record. As for Aynor, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
