Softball Recap: Villa Joseph Marie Wins Going Away Against Little Flower Catholic for Girls

On Friday, the Villa Joseph Marie Jems made easy work of Little Flower Catholic for Girls and carried off an 11-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jems.

Faith Fox made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, Villa Joseph Marie got a massive performance out of Delaney Radtke, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Peters, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Villa Joseph Marie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Little Flower Catholic for Girls only posted an OBP of .250.

Villa Joseph Marie now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Villa Joseph Marie will face off against Council Rock South at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Little Flower Catholic for Girls, they will challenge Germantown Friends at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
