Baseball Recap: Friendship Christian Takes a Loss

Friendship Christian lost against Beech back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Friendship Christian fell 11-6 to Beech.

Luke Sellars and Cayden Law did some serious damage despite the final result: Sellars went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Law scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Maddox Hallum also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Friendship Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. Beech is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Friendship Christian and Beech will both be playing Blackman the next time they take the field. Beech will head out to face Blackman at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Friendship Christian will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
