 Trinidad was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  7-3 to the Monte Vista Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Trinidad of the  10-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  on Saturday.

 Trinidad's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Monte Vista, the  victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Trinidad by a score of  10-5 later that day.
