Volleyball Recap: Maricopa Rams vs. Arizona College Prep Knights
After flying high against Notre Dame Prep on Tuesday, Maricopa came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Arizona College Prep Knights on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered since April 8th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-20.
Arizona College Prep was led to victory by Kaden Wong and Alexander Lim. Wong had five digs and one block, while Lim had ten digs and one assist. What's more, Wong racked up 49 assists, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.
Maricopa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Arizona College Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maricopa will square off against Fairfax at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. After both having extra time off, Arizona College Prep and Campo Verde will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Coyotes will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
