Babcock takes loss despite strong efforts from Austin Drake and Jameson Habing

Recap: Babcock Trailblazers vs. Dunbar Tigers
The Babcock Trailblazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. 2024 welcomed they with a 67-44 loss courtesy of Dunbar.
Babcock's loss came despite strong showings from Jameson Habing and Austin Drake. Habing dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Drake scored 12 points. Habing is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Babcock's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Dunbar, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Babcock will take on Mason Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mason Classical Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Dunbar will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lehigh at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th.
