Softball Recap: Kennett Comes Up Short

If Kennett was feeling good fresh off their 18-6 takedown of Henderson last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kennett lost 19-7 to the Coatesville Red Raiders on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Demons of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Hailey Kahrs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That stolen base was her first of the season. Daiylia Winter was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Kennett's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Coatesville, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennett will venture away from home to face off against Delaware County Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Coatesville, they will head out to square off against Avon Grove at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
