Basketball Recap: Foothill Tech Piles Up the Points Against Grace

Foothill Tech had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Grace Lancers 65-31. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.

Nick Turner was his usual excellent self, putting up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Luigirey Guce, who posted six points and five steals.

Foothill Tech was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grace only posted six assists.

Grace lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Owen Spencer, who had 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Williams, who scored eight points and six boards.

Foothill Tech's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-13. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Grace, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Foothill Tech has already played their next game, a 63-61 defeat against Santa Paula on the 1st. As for Grace, they will challenge Rio Hondo Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
