Granville Christian Academy's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Tree of Life Christian on Thursday. Granville Christian Academy's pitcher stepped up to hand the Shekinah Christian Flames a 4-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for Granville Christian Academy: when they faced off against Shekinah Christian back in April, they had to take a 1-0 loss.

Bentley Johnson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Johnson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Johnson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Stump, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was Stump's first of the season. Josiah Green was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Granville Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Shekinah Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

Coincidentally, Granville Christian Academy and Shekinah Christian will both be playing Tree of Life Christian the next time they take the field. Shekinah Christian will host Tree of Life Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Granville Christian Academy will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
