Basketball Recap: Clarinda Comes Up Short

Clarinda lost against Glenwood back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Clarinda Cardinals lost 76-51 to the Glenwood Rams. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Rams are ranked 86th).

Clarinda dropped their record down to 10-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Glenwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Clarinda Cardinals duke it out with the Creston Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Glenwood, they will welcome St. Albert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Albert will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Glenwood surely won't give up without a fight.
