Basketball Recap: Sherman Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westfield, Sherman was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 51-43 win over the Portville Panthers. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The win got Sherman back to even at 1-1. As for Portville, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sherman will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Clymer Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Portville, they will head out to take on Bolivar-Richburg at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
