Basketball Recap: Manchester Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Manchester had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.9 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Hartford Hornets, sneaking past 64-62. The 64-point effort marked the Red Hawks' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Manchester got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joe Mugovero out in front who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten assists. Mugovero is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Cam Major was another key player, going 7-for-11 en route to 16 points.

Manchester pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for East Hartford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester will face off against Tolland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Manchester's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for East Hartford, they will challenge Windsor at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
