Basketball Game Preview: Paxton Tigers vs. Medicine Valley Raiders

Having just played yesterday, the Paxton Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Medicine Valley Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Paxton can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Thursday. They took a hard 52-38 fall against Anselmo-Merna.

The losing side was boosted by Maddex McConnell, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Medicine Valley earned a 57-49 win over Southwest on Thursday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Roughriders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Everything came up roses for Paxton against Medicine Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 57-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
