Basketball Recap: Carter Thompson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Meadville over Carrollton

Meadville lost against Carrollton back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Meadville Eagles fell 47-37 to the Carrollton Trojans. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meadville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carter Thompson, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donivan Schreckhise, who posted seven points and ten rebounds.

Meadville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Carrollton, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Meadville will square off against Bevier at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carrollton, they will head out to take on Orrick at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
