Softball Recap: Ellison Comes Up Short

Ellison extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 19 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-18 in the process. They lost 20-0 to the Belton Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 on April 1st.

As for Belton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Belton's part, Hailey Schutz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave Schutz a new career-high. Tara Stone was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

As of now, neither Ellison nor Belton have any future games scheduled.
