Phil Campbell won the last time they faced Hanceville and Braxton Downey did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bobcats simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Bulldogs 76-29 with plenty of help from Downey, who rushed for 178 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries. He is becoming a predictor of Phil Campbell's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Austin Elliott, who picked up 142 receiving yards and one TD. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 63 yards.

Hanceville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Hunter Black, who threw for 169 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 53 yards on only six carries. Javus Leusby was another key player, gaining 163 total yards and two touchdowns.

Phil Campbell now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Hanceville, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Phil Campbell will face off against Red Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hanceville, they will challenge Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
