Redding Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Burney on Tuesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Raiders. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Bradie Ogden made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Redding Christian's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't). Ogden was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Redding Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Burney, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
