Baseball Game Preview: Monache Marauders vs. Golden Valley Bulldogs

The Monache Marauders will challenge the Golden Valley Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Monache is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since March 20th on Thursday. They lost 8-1 to Golden West. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Monache saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Baxter, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Golden Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Mira Monte, falling 9-1.

Golden Valley's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-9-1. As for Monache, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Monache was able to grind out a solid victory over Golden Valley in their previous matchup back in March, winning 4-0. Will the Marauders repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
