Riviera Prep hadn't done well against Ransom Everglades recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 2-0. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

Riviera Prep's offense was headlined by Annemarie Perez and Bailee Casas, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Natalie Chabouk and her 18 assists. Finally, Perez was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Ransom Everglades lost, don't look at Abigail Zichella. Despite the final result, she had 13 kills and four digs. Zichella is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least seven every time she's taken the court this season. Nalah Picchetti was another key player, getting 15 assists and four digs.

Riviera Prep moved to 5-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Ransom Everglades, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riviera Prep will welcome Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ransom Everglades, they will host Goleman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
