Softball Recap: Dillon Christian's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Dillon Christian hadn't done well against Marlboro Academy recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Dillon Christian Warriors' pitcher stepped up to hand the Marlboro Academy Dragons a 10-0 shutout. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 13-12 victory the Dragons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Lilli Shooter made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Shooter was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Fraley Britt was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Story Lane was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for Dillon Christian and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Looking ahead, Dillon Christian will challenge King's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marlboro Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dillon Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
