Baseball Recap: Lomira Takes a Loss

Lomira and Cedar Grove-Belgium squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Lomira had to settle for second. They fell 4-0 to the Rockets. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Lions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lomira has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Lomira does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, they will host Laconia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rockets 2.6, the Spartans 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
