Volleyball Recap: Grossmont Comes Up Short on the Road Against Santana + How To Watch

Grossmont kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Santana Sultans, falling 3-0. The Foothillers haven't had much luck with the Sultans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Grossmont was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Santana work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23, 25-8.

Alexis Holman paced Grossmont's offense, picking up ten kills. Holman got some help from Mila Moyer and her 22 assists. Moyer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Santana's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Coming up, Grossmont will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Valhalla at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santana, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Coronado at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
