Baseball Recap: Brennan Baisden Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Leon

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lincoln had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Leon Lions get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

AJ Johnson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

At the plate, Brennan Baisden was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Cody Garber was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Lincoln hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive games.

Lincoln's record now sits at 17-9. As for Leon, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-3 victory against Mosley on the 17th. Leon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
