 Plainfield proved they can win big  last Monday (they won by seven) but  on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins  and snuck past  6-4. For Plainfield, this counts as revenge for the   2-1 defeat Tri-West Hendricks walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2018.
  Zach Rhoden was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI.  Luke Starnes was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 On Tri-West Hendricks' side,  Jack Catt was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Plainfield's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
 Plainfield will head out on the road to  square off against  Danville at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lawrence North at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Tri-West Hendricks will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak  dating back to last season alive.
