 Berthoud extended their postseason success on Friday against The Classical Academy. They came out on top against The Classical Academy Titans by a score of  11-6. The  victory was nothing new for Berthoud as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
  Adam Hayes made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and only one walk). Hayes was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Trent Jacobs was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Wyatt Barmes, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances.
 On The Classical Academy's side,  Daniel Strevett was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run.
 Berthoud's win was  their 15th straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 25-1. As for The Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 18-5.
 Berthoud will take on University at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Berthoud: 1.8, University: 2) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for The Classical Academy, they are on the road again  on Saturday to play Colorado Academy at 9:00  a.m. The Classical Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3  runs per game  this season.
