After low-scoring totals in their previous five matchup, Shades Valley brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They blew past the Huffman Vikings 34-7 on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mounties as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Shades Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antwan Kelser, who threw for 179 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in two scores on the ground. The Mounties' leading receiver Ayden Shackleford was Kelser's top target yet again, picking up 99 receiving yards and two TDs.

Shades Valley's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Huffman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
