Baseball Recap: Cocalico Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Cocalico kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Solanco Golden Mules, falling 9-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Cocalico saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Davis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in runs. Another was Colton Stoltzfus, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cocalico will take on Daniel Boone at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Solanco, they will face off against Annville-Cleona at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
