Duncan is 1-6 against Pima since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Wildkats will host the Roughriders at 3:45 p.m. Duncan knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Pima likes a good challenge.
Duncan is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against San Carlos on Friday as they made off with a 22-4 win. The Wildkats haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Reymia Contreras was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paisley Patton, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Shaylynn Rhoton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs.
Duncan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Pima fell victim to Morenci and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Roughriders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Pima's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9. As for Duncan, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
Pima's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Duncan has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Pima, though, as they've been averaging 12.3 hits. Given Duncan's sizable advantage in that area, the Roughriders will need to find a way to close that gap.
Duncan took their victory against Pima in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 9-1 score. Will the Wildkats repeat their success, or do the Roughriders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
