Softball Recap: Sacopee Valley Comes Up Short at Home Against North Yarmouth Academy

Sacopee Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the North Yarmouth Academy Panthers on Tuesday, falling 18-1. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brianna Eastman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

The victory was the seventh in a row (dating back to last season) for North Yarmouth Academy, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sacopee Valley will take on Lake Region at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Yarmouth Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on St. Dominic at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
