Baseball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They lost 12-0 to the Port Jervis Raiders. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 17-4 to the Raiders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Port Jervis, they moved to 4-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Port Jervis' part, Cole Corcoran was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Corcoran a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Hicks, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Coming up, Liberty will head out to challenge Eldred at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Port Jervis, they will welcome Beacon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
