Recap: Richland Royals vs. Denton Broncos
The Richland Royals were the 44-43 winner over the Denton Broncos when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Richland fell 38-31 to Denton on Tuesday.
Several Royals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Allison Holman, who scored 12 points along with seven steals.
Richland has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Denton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.
Richland will be home for the holidays to greet Argyle at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Argyle presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Richland in Texas (Argyle is ranked 11th, while Richland is ranked 871st). As for Denton, they will head out on the road to face off against Colleyville Heritage at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Colleyville Heritage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
