Alexandria never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past the Fayetteville Wolves 11-0. The result was nothing new for the Valley Cubs, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Alexandria is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Fayetteville, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Alexandria will take on Cherokee County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Valley Cubs will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Fayetteville, they will venture away from home to face off against Wadley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
