Ripon Christian had won six straight games and Ian Brown did his part to make it seven on Wednesday. Ripon Christian walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Manteca Buffaloes with plenty of help from Brown, who had 18 digs and five aces. Those 18 digs gave him a new career-high.

Ripon Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-15.

Ripon Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Manteca, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-4.

Ripon Christian has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Oak Ridge on the 22nd. As for Manteca, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against St. Mary's on the 21st.
