Basketball Recap: Rocky Boy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Conrad last Friday, Rocky Boy came back down to earth. The Rocky Boy Northern Stars took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Choteau Bulldogs on Saturday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Northern Stars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-46 back in December of 2024.

Rocky Boy dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Choteau, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Rocky Boy and Choteau could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings. Rocky Boy will square off against Chinook on Friday down 97 places (120 vs. 23). Similarly, Choteau (ranked 59th) will meet Fairfield (ranked seventh) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
