Baseball Recap: Hope Christian Takes a Loss

Hope Christian suffered their biggest loss since March 19th on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bernalillo Spartans, falling 17-4. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Trey Baillio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Hope Christian and nudges their season record down to 14-8. As for Bernalillo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hope Christian will square off against rival Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bernalillo is set to take on their familiar foe Albuquerque Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
