Basketball Recap: McMichael Takes a Loss

McMichael was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockingham County Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Cougars are ranked 129th).

McMichael's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Rockingham County, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

McMichael will be home for the holidays to greet Bethany Community at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McMichael is facing Bethany Community at the right time seeing as Bethany Community is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Rockingham County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Reidsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
