Softball Recap: Hanna Takes a Loss

Hanna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Veterans Memorial Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-3 back in March.

Hanna saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annett Lopez, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Hanna's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for Veterans Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season.

Hanna will be playing in front of their home fans against Harlingen at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Veterans Memorial, they are taking a road trip to take on Los Fresnos at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
