Basketball Recap: Christian Ministries Academy Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

Christian Ministries Academy won the last time they faced Legacy Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Christian Ministries Academy Conquerors came out on top against the Legacy Academy Warriors by a score of 79-70.

Christian Ministries Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Hicks out in front who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 14 rebounds, and ten assists. Hicks is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 21 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Cade Elledge, who went 10 for 19 en route to 25 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Christian Ministries Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive matches.

Legacy Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being James Bartek, who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ozzy Toledano, who earned 17 points.

Christian Ministries Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Legacy Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-18.

Christian Ministries Academy has already played their next contest (against Southwest Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Legacy Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 80-66 loss against Trinity Christian on the 21st.
