Hayfield came tearing into Tuesday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 55-38 victory over the Falls Church Jaguars. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Jaguars are ranked 175th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hayfield pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Falls Church, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
