Softball Recap: Bath County Takes a Loss

Richwood hit Bath County with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Chargers fell just short of the Lumberjacks by a score of 8-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lumberjacks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 on April 2nd.

Bath County has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Richwood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

Coming up, Bath County will be playing in front of their home fans against Buffalo Gap at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Richwood, they will head out to square off against Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
