Wabaunsee has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will host the Council Grove Braves at 7:00 p.m. The last four games Wabaunsee has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Wednesday, Wabaunsee didn't have quite enough to beat Cair Paravel and fell 2-1. While the Chargers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-17 in the first set.
Wabaunsee was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cair Paravel work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-18, 26-24.
Wabaunsee's loss came about despite a quality game from Rylee White, who had 12 digs and two aces. That's the most aces White has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, Council Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Wamego.
Council Grove was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23.
Wabaunsee's loss dropped their record down to 18-13-1. As for Council Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18.
